Streets of New Morceau Episode 5 - Nothing Gained

The first thing humanity ever invented was the monster, the second thing was the wherewithal to worship them as gods, the third thing was pretending the wall between god and monster wasn’t razor thin. Humanity is always so sure their protectors won’t turn on them while beseeching them to destroy their foes. A cynic would call humanity the real monster but a cynic has never seen what truly waits in the deepest shadow.
