The final stage of grief is acceptance. This doesn’t imply happiness, only moving past and allowing yourself to regrow. And though the pain of loss may never fade, it doesn’t always leave scars upon the soul, nor does it have to. A friend’s death can bolster, as surely as it can ruin.
