There is but one indisputable truth that all who roam the streets of New Morceau know;At any point, your life can be changed or even ended on the whims of those more powerful than you.
In service of this truth, the little ones all seek power, to become the proverbial big fish in a hundred small ponds.
But, the biggest fish are the most appetizing, and there’s no better celebration in a coastal town than a fish fry.

Streets of New Morceau Episode 12-Spread the Blood that Burns

Clearing an overgrown path of it’s old growth is always an arduous task, clearing two is a chore no one wishes to undertake, but brambles from an abandoned path will trip you up out of spite. Remaining vigilant is essential in a town like New Morceau, because the graveyards overflow with the careless, and the dead are the best fertilizer.   The witching hour always comes, and those who fail to watch the clock can only brace themselves and pray.
